GALAXY CREW
Galaxy Crew was an internal R&D prototype exploring a cooperative adventure and exploration game in Unreal Engine. Built by a small team, the project focused on spaceship building, dynamic journeys and emergent encounters across a chaotic galaxy. I worked on prototype iteration, owned the complete game design documentation and created the project’s official pitch.
Turning experimentation into a coherent game concept.
The project was deliberately exploratory. Our goal was to test Unreal Engine while pushing the studio toward a more ambitious creative and technical space than previous productions.
My daily work involved brainstorming and iterating on prototype content while ensuring that the evolving design remained documented and understandable as a coherent game concept.
Prototype Iteration
Worked with the small R&D team to brainstorm, test and iterate on the content and possibilities of the cooperative adventure prototype.
Game Design Documentation
Owned the documentation of the complete game design, consolidating a rapidly evolving prototype into a structure the team could reason about and build upon.
Project Pitch
Created the official pitch document used to communicate the concept, direction and ambition of the project.
Exploring Emergent Co-Op Adventure
The prototype explored cooperative exploration, spaceship building and dynamic journeys designed to generate encounters and stories through play.
From Experiment to Game Concept
A major part of my contribution was turning daily experimentation into a coherent design that could be explained outside the immediate prototype team.
